About the Designer
Claudio Salocchi (1934–2012) was an Italian architect and industrial designer born in Milan. A key figure in the creative scene of the 1960s and 1970s, he developed projects that anticipated future trends in form, function, and technology. Salocchi worked across industrial design, architecture, and interiors for over fifty years. His long and fruitful collaboration with entrepreneur Luigi Sormani began in the early 1960s and lasted two decades, resulting in many iconic furniture pieces that defined Italian mid-century modernism.
