€1750.00
Italian mid-Century Clear Murano Glass Wall or Ceiling Light: "Pavo" by Albano Poli for Poliarte, 1970s.
Brutalist design featuring a geometric, mosaic-like composition of numerous small glass cubes arranged in an abstract, layered stepped structure. The cubes are translucent with a subtle icy finish, creating a crystalline effect. The overall form is made of four stacked glass panels forming a three-dimensional, sculptural relief. Light passes through the varying thicknesses and colours, casting intricate shadows.
This iconic piece showcases Poliarte's style of experimentation with how light interacts with glass to create dynamic illumination.

About the manufacturer
Poliarte was founded in Verona in 1968 by Albano Poli. An Italian lighting company that started in a factory building with about thirty-five craftsmen designing table lamps, sconces, chandeliers, standing lamps and wall panels. Each lamp was created and assembled by hand.
Poli was intrigued by how light brings out the beauty of glass in all its forms. Originally trained in classical stained glass artistry, he reinvented the stained-glass window to create three-dimensional lighting objects like this iconic piece. Poliarte pieces are highly sought-after mid-century modern and space-age collectables, celebrated for their innovative handcrafted Murano-style glasswork and dramatic play of light, colour, and texture.
