About the Manufacturer
Società Compensati Curvati traces its roots to the Ratti brothers of Monza in the curved plywood industry. Carlo Ratti developed wood-bending techniques that allowed three-dimensional forms with strength and lightness. After the 1930s, the family businesses advanced these technologies, collaborating with architects such as Vico Magistretti, the Castiglioni brothers, and Carlo De Carli. Their work with molded plywood resulted in furniture that combined industrial production with aesthetics.
