Vetri Murano Table lamp in egg-shaped Murano glass from Venice, Italy, made in the 1970s.
Hand-blown, finished with a fine filigree or zanfirico-style spiral pattern in white threads over clear glass resting on a brass disk base. Light is emitted through the egg-shaped glass, diffusing across the swirl pattern created using the "rigadin ritorto" technique. Provided with its original Vetri Murano authenticity sticker.

Vetri Murano Label
The “Vetri Murano” trademark were created in 1981 by Veneziavetro, the consortium for the promotion of Venetian artistic glass production as an early attempt by an independent authority to guarantee the authenticity of Murano glass. The mark, developed through historical and graphic research by designers Max Huber and Roberto Sambonet, could only be used by companies whose production facilities were located on the island of Murano and whose work met the consortium’s standards of craftsmanship and tradition. Use of the trademark was subject to strict controls, and the label appeared only on products from companies holding the right to use it.
